Who We Are
Furaha Foundation is a Uganda-based nonprofit committed to transforming lives by supporting orphans, widows, and vulnerable families. Through access to safe drinking water, quality education, healthcare, spiritual guidance, and skills training, we empower communities and give children a safe place to learn, grow, and dream. This work is carried out through our key initiatives, including Furaha Orphanage Home and Furaha Junior School, where children receive care, education, and the opportunity to build a brighter future.
Our story
Our founder, Kalenzi Alex, grew up as an orphan in Iganga, facing many challenges in accessing education and basic needs. Through resilience and determination, he turned his struggles into purpose-founding Furaha Foundation in 2015.
What began as a personal journey of pain and survival has grown into a mission of hope. Today, his story inspires change, supporting hundreds of lives through education, safe drinking water, and spiritual care.
