About Us
Furaha Orphanage Center is a home filled with love, care, and hope for vulnerable children. We currently care for 27 children who were once left without proper support, protection, or education. Our mission is to create a safe, nurturing environment where every child can grow with dignity and purpose.At the moment, we rent the space where the children stay, and although it’s a humble place, it serves as a true home for these little ones. Every day, we strive to provide them with food, clothing, education, and medical care—guided by our faith and commitment to transforming young lives.
Our School — A Dream Turned into Hope
The children at our orphanage attend Furaha Junior School, a school we founded after realizing how difficult it was for orphans and poor children to access quality education. Before the school started, many of our kids had to walk long distances or miss school completely because they couldn’t afford school fees, uniforms, or learning materials.
We started the school to bridge this gap—to ensure that every child under our care, and others in the community, can learn without barriers. Today, Furaha Junior School stands as a place of hope and learning for over 514 students, including our 18 orphans.
Challenges We Face
While we have made great progress, we still face major challenges.
• We are renting both the orphanage and school premises, which limits stability and space.
• The school urgently needs more classrooms and better structures to give the children a safe and comfortable learning environment.
• The orphanage needs beds, mattresses, food supplies, clothing, and hygiene materials for daily care.
Despite these struggles, our hearts remain strong because we know that every small act of kindness makes a difference.
