About Furaha Junior School

Furaha Junior School is a community-based primary school located in Iganga, Uganda. Founded in January 2024 by the Furaha Foundation, the school has quickly grown to serve 512 students supported by 25 passionate teachers. We are committed to providing accessible, high-quality education in a nurturing environment that promotes both academic excellence and strong moral values.

Our Vision

To raise a generation of empowered, responsible, and compassionate individuals who will transform their communities through knowledge, integrity, and service.

Our Mission

To provide inclusive, quality education that nurtures each child’s academic, spiritual, and emotional development, equipping them with the skills and values needed to thrive in life.

Our Slogan

“Educating minds, shaping futures.”

Our school is expanding steadily, and with this growth comes the need for additional infrastructure. To support the increasing number of students and ensure an optimal learning environment, we are constructing more classrooms as part of our ongoing campus development.

At Furaha Foundation, we believe that every child deserves a chance to learn, grow, and dream—regardless of their background. Through our education support programs, we are transforming lives by making quality education accessible to vulnerable children, especially orphans and those from low-income families.

Furaha Foundation offers bursaries to children who show potential but face financial hardship. These bursaries cover part or all of a student’s school fees, including tuition, meals, uniforms, and scholastic materials. Our aim is to ensure that no child is left behind due to poverty or lack of opportunity.

By sponsoring an orphan or vulnerable child. With just $45 per term (or $200 per year), you can fund a child’s education at Furaha Junior School. Your support provides a child with a safe learning environment, meals, school supplies, and emotional care. Whether you choose to support a child already enrolled or help a new child join the school, your contribution creates real, lasting impact.

Another reason Furaha foundation established Furaha Junior School in Iganga was to create a sustainable source of quality education within the community. By investing locally, the school aims to build long-term educational resources, empowering future generations and fostering self-sufficiency within the region.

Furaha foundation started Furaha Junior School in response to the community’s urgent need for accessible, quality education. Many families in Iganga faced financial and logistical barriers to schooling, so the school was established to address these challenges, giving local children the opportunity to learn, grow, and build brighter futures.
